Terms & Conditions for award of Shangri-La Circle Points for apartment stays at Great World Serviced Apartments in Singapore

Definitions:

In these terms and conditions, the definition of terms shall be set out below, except where the context otherwise requires:

 “Allgreen Group”:

 Means Allgreen Properties Ltd, its subsidiaries and affiliates from time to time.

“Earning Rate”:

Means the rate for the award of Shangri-La Circle Points pursuant to the Qualifying Rates.

 “Shangri-La Circle”:

Means the travel and lifestyle rewards programme developed, operated and managed by Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited, a subsidiary of Shangri-La, under which members of such programme may earn points and enjoy certain member benefits for staying at participating hotel or resort properties owned, managed and/or operated by the Shangri-La Group.

“Shangri-La Circle Points”: 

Means the unit of measurement of Shangri-La Circle Points awarded to Members in accordance with these terms and conditions.

“GWC”:

 Means GWC Serviced Apartments Pte. Ltd. or such other entity of the Allgreen Group which may be managing the Programme from time to time.

 “Member”:

Means any person who is a member of the Shangri-La Circle.

“Programme”:

Means the programme managed by GWC pursuant to these terms and conditions whereby Shangri-La Circle Points may be awarded to Members.

“Programme Website”:

Means the website(s) or part thereof created in connection with the Programme, as may be modified from time to time by GWC (in consultation with the Shangri-La Group).

“Qualifying Rates”:

Means any rate for each apartment-type as determined by GWC in its sole and absolute discretion, published in Section C below from time to time and subject to these terms and conditions for a Member to be eligible for Shangri-La Circle Points.

 “Qualifying Reservation Channel”:

Means GWC’s official apartment reservation channels such as https://stay.greatworld.com.sg/, GWC official telephone reservation hotlines, through GWC approved reservation channels as may be specified by GWC from time to time. Unless otherwise specified by GWC, third party online platforms, online service providers or online travel agents, such as Expedia.com, Booking.com, TripAdvisor.com, etc, are not Qualifying Reservation Channels.

“Serviced Apartment” means the serviced apartments operated by GWC at 2 Kim Seng Walk, Singapore 239404;

“Shangri-La” means Shangri-La Asia Limited, a company incorporated in Bermuda with limited liability.

“Shangri-La Group” means Shangri-La and its subsidiaries.

 

(b) General Terms & Conditions 

  1. These terms and conditions apply to the Programme.
  2. GWC, in consultation with the Shangri-La Group, may amend these terms and conditions from time to time in its sole and absolute discretion upon posting the amended version at the Programme Website at https://stay.greatworld.com.sg/perk-category/rewards/. By Members’ continued participation in the Programme, Members agree to be bound by these terms and conditions as the same may be updated, amended or varied from time to time.
  3. The offer is available for stays between 1st August 2020 and 31st July 2024 at the Serviced Apartments.
  4. Shangri-La Circle Points will only be awarded to Members and are not transferrable to other Members.
  5. Members must provide their Shangri-La Circle Membership numbers at the time of making reservations and present their proof of membership and photo identity documents at the time of check-in for the purposes of identity verification in order to earn Shangri-La Circle Points in accordance with below.
  6. Points may be awarded for stays up to thirty days prior to the furnishing of membership details to GWSA.  
  7. For new sign-ups for Shangri-La Circle Membership, residents will need to furnish GWSA with membership details upon activation, to ensure points are being credited in a timely manner. Points may be awarded for stays up to thirty days prior to the furnishing of new membership details to GWSA.  
  8. Members who make apartment reservations at the Qualifying Rates through Qualifying Reservation Channels will be awarded Shangri-La Circle Points in accordance with below during their stay at the Serviced Apartments.
  9. GWC (in consultation with the Shangri-La Group) reserves the right to change the Earning Rate and the exclusions in relation thereto. Members can stay up to date on the Qualifying Rates and the Earning Rate at: https://stay.greatworld.com.sg/perk-category/rewards/.
  10. Shangri-La Circle Points will be credited to the Member’s account 4 weeks after a qualifying stay under this Programme at Qualifying Rates. Subject to compliance with these Programme terms and conditions.
  11. By participating in the Programme, Members consent to GWC and the Shangri-La Group’s use of their personal information (including their name, Shangri-La Circle membership number and qualifying stay information) in accordance with these terms and conditions and agree to GWC’s Privacy Policy at: https://www.allgreen.com.sg/privacy-policy/ and the Shangri-La Group’s privacy policy at https://www.shangri-la.com/group/privacy-policy.
  12. Notwithstanding any other terms or conditions in these terms and conditions, GWC and its Programme partner, the Shangri-La Group, shall not be liable to any Member for any loss, damage, inconvenience, moral distress, cost and expense of any nature (including, without limitation for any act, omission, neglect or wilful default on the part of GWC or the Shangri-La Group’s agents, contractors, correspondents and/or their respective officers and employees) which in any way may be suffered or incurred by any Member or by any other person in respect of or in connection with the Programme, including without limitation any award of Shangri-La Circle Points. Members agree to release and discharge GWC and the Shangri-La Group from all claims in relation to the aforesaid loss, damage, inconvenience, embarrassment, cost and/or expense.
  13. Each of these terms and conditions is severable and distinct from one another and if at any time, any one or more of these terms and conditions or any part thereof is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality or enforceability of the remaining provisions will not thereby be affected or impaired in any way.
  14. The rights and remedies provided in these terms and conditions are cumulative and not exclusive of any other right or remedies (whether provided by law or otherwise).
  15. No failure on the part of GWC or the Shangri-La Group to exercise and no delay on the part of GWC or the Shangri-La Group in exercising any right or remedy under these terms and conditions will operate as a waiver of such right or remedy, nor will any single or partial exercise of any right or remedy preclude any other or further exercise of such right or remedy or the exercise of any other right of remedy. Any waiver by GWC or Shangri-La Group of their respective rights or remedies in respect of any terms under these terms and conditions or any breach of these terms and conditions on the part of a Member must be in writing and may be given subject to such terms and conditions as GWC (in consultation with the Shangri-La Group) may deem fit and is effective only in the instance and for the purpose for which it is given.
  16. For the avoidance of doubt, these terms and conditions relate solely to the Programme. Shangri-La Circle Points are subject to and are governed by the Shangri-La Circle terms and conditions (which can be accessed at https://www.shangri-la.com/en/corporate/shangrilacircle/terms-conditions/).
  17. These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Members hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
  18. Each apartment is limited to one redemption per apartment and points are not to be split. 

(c) Specific Terms & Conditions for Award of Shangri-La Circle Points

  1. Shangri-La Circle Points may be awarded for apartment stays at the Serviced Apartments at Qualifying Rates booked through Qualifying Reservation Channels. No Shangri-La Circle Points will be awarded for apartment stays booked through reservation channels that are not Qualifying Reservation Channels. If in doubt, Members should contact GWC for further clarification on exclusions and/or limitations before making reservations. 
  2. Shangri-La Circle Points are awarded pursuant to the following Earning Rate. Points will be rounded down to the nearest whole number.
  3. Shangri-La Circle Points are not awarded for Government and local taxes, commissions, service charges, tips, telephone charges, business centre charges, transportation, additional perks such as EZ link card, Great World vouchers, additional Nespresso capsules, roll away bed, pet levy, any third party services contracted by GWC, late charges, no-show charges and cancellation penalties.

    Earning Rate:

    Shangri-La Circle Gold Member: SGD5 = 1 point

    Shangri-La Circle Jade Member: SGD5 = 1.25 points

    Shangri-La Circle Diamond Member: SGD5 = 1.5 points

  4. Members will have to meet the minimum Qualifying Rates for Shangri-La Circle Points to be awarded.
  5. Points awarded will be based on the initial Membership Tier during the point when the booking was made and during extensions. 
  6. In case of dispute over the calculation of Shangri-La Circle Points to be awarded, GWC and the Shangri-La Group’s joint decision shall be final.
